Today was a really great day when I discovered a nice e-mail from Sevren in Zambia. Then to top it off I tried my new international calling card and got him on his cell phone. He is very busy learning a lot of new things and even gave me some sort of greeting that recognized me as a respected Elder. (Oh my!!!!!!!!!!!!) That was actually the highlight of my whole day. My list of things to gather for his 1st care package from home has gotten a wee bit longer and I'll try to get it together this weekend and on its way.
Dave went out to the garden today and picked about 8 Roma tomatoes. Looks like a tomato and Dukes' mayonaise sandwiches are the order of the day for lunch tomorrow.
Today we had another 3/4 inch of rain. Man do I wish I'd planted a bigger garden and lots of flowers...maybe next year.
